Gear Up for Learning

The Google School for Leaders puts on an annual internal leadership and learning event. In 2024 we designed the key art which informed the design for every smaller related media material. The event was hosted by Google's Vice President & Chief Learning Officer, Brian Glaser and featuring several guest speakers like Dr. Brené Brown, Marie Kondo, and LeVar Burton.

The Key Art

Google has established and clear design guidelines, however, within these limits there is a lot of room for play. We leaned into the name of the event by creating a gear motif that showcases brand colors and established Google School elements like the squiggle.

Applying the Design

We had several touch points to apply the new key art branding to, including a website, internal Google newsletter banner, internal Google School website cards, and then the event itself, with many wayfinding screens scattered throughout the building during the event.
